Non Destructive Testing on
Mining Piping Systems
GGS performs non destructive NDT testing on mining piping systems. Our technology reads everything within a wide range of wall thickness and diameter of your on-site distribution piping.

for Mining Piping Systems
GGS understand the characteristics of mining piping systems, how and where damage can occur, and how it progresses over time. This results in an approach that is specific to your environment and testing that is conscious of the functions of your system. Whether you are performing a routine assessment, evaluating for maintenance or need to learn more about suspect areas, our experience ensures pragmatic results.
Erosion
The internal degradation of pipe wall thickness due to high velocity material impacting the pipe. Erosion usually occurs at flow direction changes (such as elbows, tees, and reducers). The impacting material can be solid particulates entrained in a liquid process stream. Or, the impacting material can be liquid droplets entrained in a vapor process stream.
Much of the process piping in mining contains a slurry of water mixed with solid ore particles of various sizes. Some of this pipe is coated with a protective lining. The lining helps absorb the impact of solid particulates with the internal walls of the pipe. However, over time, the protective lining fails. Therefore, the steel underneath will usually erode at a much faster rate than the protective lining.
for Mining Piping Systems
Gamma Graphics non destructive testing results in reliable diagnostic data on your mining piping system. We detect and measure the following system components and damage mechanisms present in mining process piping and vessels:
Your testing report, which can be used to support multiple facility management initiatives, includes visual, quantitative and qualitative data of each individual scanned location.
Gain insights from field experience stories and articles to learn how to put non destructive testing (NDT) to work for you.
